Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber Enjoy Champagne Dinner Together in Paris:

Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner were the toast of Paris today!

The pals, who struck up a friendship earlier this year, enjoyed glasses of champagne over dinner Tuesday at Ferdi, a restaurant in the First Arondissement. Their têta-à-tête was discovered by an intrepid fan, who posted a short video of the pair on Instagram.

And why shouldn't Justin and Kendall enjoy a glass of bubbly together!? It's been a huge week for Kendall, who has walked the runway for a number of designers for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2015.

Earlier today it was Chanel, alongside the likes of Cara Delevingne and Gisele Bündchen, while yesterday she catwalked for Sonia Rykiel and strutted her stuff for Givenchy, Balmain, Ports 1961 and Fendi before that.

Bieber, meanwhile, just arrived in Paris, jetting in from a tropical locale that he may have been enjoying with Selena Gomez, who also posted a pic of herself in a bikini around the time that her seemingly on-again beau was sharing shirtless photos of himself on a boat, overlooking some water, etc.

But today, he alerted the Beliebers that he was in Paris with a pic of himself in a fur-trimmed leather jacket, standing in front of a massive Rolls Royce. We're told that he picked Kendall up from her hotel and they looked friendly at the restaurant, giggling and chatting a lot.

Bieber made fast friends with all of the Kardashian-Jenner crew, actually, hanging with Kendall and Kylie Jenner at Coachella and then cozying up to mama Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at Riccardo Tisci's big 40th birthday bash in Ibiza in August.

Meet the man who can transform himself into any celebrity - would you be fooled?

We're used to seeing the effects of a decent make up artist.

Oh come on, you don't think Kim Kardashian's face is perfectly contoured like that when she wakes up in the morning, do you?

But even we've never seen make up done quite like this.

"Is it J-Law?" we hear you cry. "Is it Mariah?"

No, ladies and gentlemen. This is Paolo Ballesteros - a Filipino actor who uses make-up, wigs and coloured contact lenses to painstakingly recreate famous features.

Paolo, 31, can spend several hours creating the uncanny likenesses between himself and his idols.

His transformations have included Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Princess Diana, but he says he prefers Angelina Jolie and Mariah Carey.

"Angelina is very easy to do. I put big lips and I look like her already," he says. "But my favourite is Mariah Carey."

Have a look through the gallery below to see more of Paolo's transformations.

White tiger kills youth at New Delhi zoo

A white tiger on Tuesday attacked and killed a youth who apparently jumped into its enclosure at a zoo in the Indian capital.

Witnesses said the tiger grabbed the young man by the neck as horrified onlookers at the National Zoological Park in New Delhi screamed and threw sticks and stones to try to save him.

One witness said he raced to the enclosure after hearing screams to see the victim locked in the tiger's jaws, "writhing badly in pain".

"He kept suffering for the next 10-15 minutes, but nobody helped him," Himanshu, who only gave one name, told the CNN-IBN news channel.

The head of the zoo told AFP that a guard posted at the enclosure raised the alarm, but the victim was dead before anything could be done.

"We do have tranquilising guns but they are at the zoo hospital. By the time we could have organised those, he was killed," said zoo director Amitabh Agnihotri.

The man climbed over the railing and into a deep concrete ditch at about 1pm, a statement from the zoo said, from where the tiger apparently dragged the man into its grassy enclosure.

Witnesses had said the railings around the tiger enclosure were low and speculated that the victim may have fallen in.

But Agnihotri defended the zoo. "There are guards there. If we increase the height of the fencing, how will people be able to look at the animal?" he said.

The zoo said the victim was a Delhi resident and about 20 years old, contradicting earlier reports that he was a teenager.
One official said he also appeared to have been "under the influence of alcohol".
"Security had tried to keep him away from the enclosure, but he somehow managed to jump in and the white tiger who was present at the enclosure leapt on to him," junior official Rohit Kumar told AFP.
"This is the first time such an incident has occurred in this enclosure."
- Tiger taken away -

Photos posted online of the attack show the tiger standing over the victim, who was lying on the grass curled into a ball and trying to protect his head with his hands.
Another witness said the tiger kept "roaming around" the enclosure, holding the victim by the neck.

"The tiger first caught his neck and then left him before coming back again and taking him to the other side (of the enclosure) by his neck," Bitto, who only gave one name, told TV networks.

The victim's body was later taken away after lying in a corner of the enclosure, draped in a white sheet, while the tiger had been taken away and locked up, an AFP reporter said.
The zoo has at least three white tigers, although only one of them is let out into the enclosure daily for visitors to see, a zoo official said.

White tigers are found in southern and eastern Asia, particularly India, and owe their appearance to a recessive gene. They are regarded as an endangered species.
India is home to 1,706 Royal Bengal tigers and fewer than 100 white tigers, according to the last census in 2011. All the white tigers are in captivity.

Rampant poaching and loss of habitat due to human encroachment are cited as the major challenges to tiger conservation efforts.

Government: President Aquino will be bringing home nearly $2.4 billion in investments

'We had discussions with a total of 19 companies' -President Aquino said, adding that all the business entities they talked to praised the economic performance of the Philippines.

President Benigno Aquino III 'Pnoy' will be bringing home nearly $2.4 billion in investments from his 4-nation European trip.

"From our engagements in Europe alone, we are expecting around 2.3 billion dollars in investments in the sectors of manufacturing, energy, the IT-BPM sector, infrastructure, transport. Now, 'yung manufacturing, there is a -- kung pwedeng ano 'yung ating paniniwala na huwag mausog -- meron kaming tatrabahuhin bukas na talagang extra effort mag-lobby to set up manufacturing in the Philippines, really major," he said.

The investments are expected to generate more than 55,000 jobs.

The President, meanwhile, expressed gratitude to the European Union for lifting the ban on Philippine carriers.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has already resumed flights to London, and is negotiating air agreements in France.

In France, the Philippine government signed a new Air Service Agreement, and the Aquino administration's steps taken for compliance to the 1978 Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW).

Aquino said the problem has been unattended since 2006, requiring a single agency to deal with SCTW in the Philippines. He said under Republic Act 10635, the agency tasked is Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA).

"Ang trabaho nito, now 'yung ipo-professionalize natin itong Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping monitoring system. Tapos ngayon gagawin natin 'yung conflict of interest para 'yung mga kasama sa industry sila rin ang nagsi-certify na name-meet 'yung standard. So 'yung company nila ayaw nila 'di ba may potential na conflict of interest, ngayon hiwalay na. Wala sa industriya, pinipilit nating mai-professionalize itong committee na ito," he said.

ILLEGAL FISHING

Another issue that was dealt by Aquino during his European trip was the illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

The Philippines was issued by EU with a yellow card, indicating a warning.

Aquino said there was a 16-item checklist of things that the Philippines has to comply with and fortunately, he said, 14 of the 16 have already been met. The remaining steps are the amendment to the Fisheries Code and the other is manning of the new inspectors.

"So, I think we managed to convey that we are striving really hard to comply with all of these requirements so that our fishing industry and the people benefiting from the fishing industry will not suffer a ban on exports from the Philippines to the EU," said the President.

Aquino said the Philippine delegation also made strides with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between École Nationale D'Administration (ENA), France's most prominent school for public service.

The MOU is between ENA and the Development Academy of the Philippines, which will open up several areas for academic exchange and collaboration, specifically for more expertise, efficiency, and professionalism for civil servants.

Philippines and Germany also inked a social security agreement, which entitles Filipinos in Germany and their dependents to the social security benefits of German nationals, and vice versa, Germans in the Philippines will also be entitled of benefits.

"Parang we recognized each other... We recognize and synchronize each other SSS coverage. It will contribute to equality of treatment and eliminate dual coverage amongst others," Aquino said.

LAGUNA DE BAY

During the trip in Brussels, Aquino said he was also able to clarify with the Belgians why his administration did away with the contract with the Belgium-based company for the dredging of Laguna Lake.

He said, during their talk with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, the topic was discussed in passing, noting that the issue was already before arbitration and the Philippine government will be bound by the result.

He said they explained to the Prime Minister the main contention that there is an 18.7-billion project, and basically, it will remove silt from one portion of the lake and move it to another portion of the lake.

"There was no belligerence because again, almost said in passing. So I think they were able to say it, we were able to respond appropriately without causing any tension and conflict."

NAIA TERMINAL 3

The issue with Fraport, which constructed the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, was also discussed with the German government, said the President.

"Nabanggit rin at sinabi natin na meron tayong mga limitasyon, dalawa in particular, nasa korte natin 'yon, nasa Korte Suprema 'pag kaintindi ko, 'yung tungkol doon sa award."

He said the German government was assured that whatever the outcome of the arbitration, the Philippine government will abide by the court's decision.

WEST PHILIPPINE SEA

Another big achievement that Aquino considered in his European trip is the support that the Philippine government was able to receive from European allies on developments in the West Philippine Sea.

Aquino recalled that in the 2012 Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit held in Vientiane, Laos, it was the European Union that supported the Philippine government's stand, which is to settle matters through peaceful means and in accordance with international law.

With this trip and the discussions made with Spain, Belgium, France and Germany, he said there's a deeper appreciation of exactly what the issue is and who are involved.

"Meaning it's not just us and our big brother to the West that says them and Vietnam, but even countries outside the region," Aquino said.

The President also expressed to leaders of the countries he visited, and also to the leadership of European Union, the profound gratitude of the Filipino nation for the help extended to the Philippines when super typhoon Haiyan hit the country in November of last year.

MANILA, Philippines - The veteran comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas is in love again with another young man, after her short-lived marriage last year.

In a report published by PEP an entertainment site, 20-year-old Gerald Sibayan, a former badminton player from De La Salle University confirmed his relationship with delas Alas, who is turning 50 on November 11.

Without confirming anything, delas Alas has been dropping hints about a new love on her official Instagram account. Just last Sunday, delas Alas posted a photo showing her and her son Sancho with Sibayan.

Last month, the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office dismissed the charges of violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act filed by delas Alas against former husband Jed Salang.

The dismissal came months after delas Alas said she's no longer interested in pursuing the case.

Last year, delas Alas revealed she was physically abused by Salang, which led to her decision to leave him last May 2, 2013.

Delas Alas and Salang were married in Las Vegas on April 3, 2013.
