Happenings: Italian nurse killed more than 38 patients because are annoying

An Italian nurse, Daniela Poggiali, was arrested Friday on murder charges. According to the report release by Italian newspaper Corriere di Bologna 'the 42-year-old nurse caught the attention of authorities thus prompting them to conduct further investigation after the unexpected death of 78-year-old Rosa  Calderoni'.

Officials believe that while Calderoni was admitted to a hospital in the town of Lugo with a diabetes-related ailment, her cause of death was due to a fatal injection of potassium chloride. Calderoni’s death allegedly occurred while Poggiali was on duty.

Prosecutors say that their investigation is more difficult because potassium chloride fades from the bloodstream within a couple days, making it hard to detect.

In a press conference, authorities revealed they had widened their probe to include 38 more deaths which occurred under the nurse's watch, including 10 which have been described as 'very suspicious'. A report by the Central European news agency said she was accused of giving her patients high doses of potassium. Authorities now suspect that Poggiali may have killed them all because she thought they or their families were irritating or annoying.

In the course of investigation, police confiscated the nurse’s cellphone and found out that her mobile phone included a photo or ‘selfies’ of her making the thumbs-up sign next to a patient’s corpse, which may be included as additional charges on her part for disrespecting the dead.

A staff member of the hospital said Poggiali requested to have her photo taken next to a patient who had just died.

Another hospital staff reportedly accused the 42-year-old nurse of ‘joking’ about giving a high dose of potassium to a seriously ill patient.

Poggiali has denied the crimes raised against her, but police suspect the nurse became frustrated with patients who ‘needed extra care or had pushy relatives.’ When their demands got on her nerves, she allegedly silenced patients with lethal doses of poison, according to investigators.

Happenings: King of Saudi gives daughter golden toilet as a wedding gift

The richest royal in the World King Abdullah ibn Abdilaziz of Saudi Arabia, has gifted his daughter a toilet made totally of gold for her wedding in one of the most equally bizarre and extravagant gifts ever.

The Saudi royal family also reportedly spent $3,000,000 for the unnamed daughter's wedding gown alone. In the photo below, the flamboyant and lavish dress was supposedly designed to make her look like a pyramid.

Gold and jewelries as dowries are seen as sort of an assurance of Saudi woman in case the marriage turn sour. She can sell them and start a life of her own. In Saudi Arabia it is known tradition for marrying women to receive gold and jewelries on special occasions, especially on their wedding.

The groom, also unnamed, is reported to have seven wives already and a total of 16 children with other woman.

So, in the case of the King's daughter, the father decided to reward her with a very unusual, if not awkward, golden toilet. The report did not mention the cost of gift but it could be millions, which is merely peanuts to the rich Saudi royal  family.

King abdullah is said to be one of the richest royals in the world. The Forbes estimated his family's wealth to be around US $21 billion in 2011. The magazine also named him as one of the "Most Powerful People in the World", ranking seventh in 2012. He is widely recognized as one of the most influential Mislims, among 500 Muslims , in the past 4 years.

Transgender woman found dead in Olongapo

US Marine detained in warship after transgender's murder

MANILA – A transgender woman was found dead in Olongapo City before dawn on Sunday. A US Marine is suspected of killing a filipino trasgender.

The victim, identified as Jeffrey Laude alias ''Jenny'', was found naked and lifeless inside the comfort room of Celzone Hotel in Barangay West Tapinac with only a blanket covering her and her head slumped in the toilet bowl.

Chief Insp. Gil Domingo, Olongapo Police Station 3 commander, said investigators are now trying to identify the foreign national based on the testimonies gathered from witnesses.

Based on the initial investigation of the Olongapo police, Laude's neck was pressed down on the toilet seat, while her head was being shoved into the toilet bowl.

Two used condoms were also found in the garbage can inside the hotel room.

CCTV footage taken at a bar in Olongapo City shows four male foreigners with Laude.

Laude's friend said the foreigners approached them inside the bar on the evening of October 11.

A few minutes later, Laude and one of the foreigners checked in at Celzone Lodge.

The foreigner was spotted leaving the room at 11:45 p.m.

Motel staff who entered the room to clean it found the victim's body.

There were no signs of a struggle in the bedroom and Laude's belongings were complete.

Police are now looking at two motives behind the killing.

One -- The foreigner could have found out that Laude was a transgender. However, authorities doubt this theory because of the used condoms discovered in the room.

Another theory of investigators is Laude could have tried to steal from the foreigner.
